Every year, a good number of people opt for Polytechnic courses
and alongside these, there is an ever growing number of colleges that offer
this course in the country. Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic was
established by NITTE Education Trust in 1982 and was the first Polytechnic
Institute in South Karnataka district. Affiliated to the University of Bangalore,
it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi
and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka as a premier institution.
What makes NRAMP, Nitte stand out in this crowd is the carefully
curated course structure and their desire for the curriculum to ensure the
overall growth of the student. Situated almost equidistant from Mangalore and
Udupi, the institute has opened its doors to students from all over the state.
The centre was founded with the vision to help students discover their hidden
potential and polish these skills further. The aim is to foster future leaders
with a strong moral and spiritual future, who turn out to be empathetic
citizens in the future. A dedicated faculty and a steady graph upwards has made
it one of the best diploma colleges in Karnataka.
NITTE, as an institute has always tried to promote education as
more than just academics. This is why there is equal parts attention given to
the curriculum as well as extracurricular. It also concentrates on the aspect
of social responsibility and believes that every individual needs to contribute
in their own way to the society. With regard to this, NRAMP has been
contributing to rural development for long now. Along with their current
training program, a new batch of “Beautician Course” with 25 trainees is
inaugurated at Belman Center in association with Mahila Swasahaya Sangha and
Rotary Club, Belman. It has also tied up with the National Service Scheme and
has even organised camps, where thorough sessions have been conducted on topics
like human values, personality development and life and success.
NRAM Polytechnic supports the development of the community through
the CDTP scheme in a program, organised by MHRD, Delhi They offer a number
of technical and non-technical Courses like Computer based Accountancy,

the extension centres, including the main centre NITTE. A total of 509
